PUBG Lite – advertised as the ‘lighter’ version of the hugely-popular PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds is a Battle Royale game that offers the familiar PUBG gaming experience for people with budget devices, be it PCs or mobile phones.
With this version of the game, Tencent Gaming has successfully managed to reduce the entry barrier to enjoy authentic Battle Royale Experience in PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds.
How to Download PUBG Lite?
PUBG Mobile Lite and PUBG PC Lite are available for players in select countries only, and, currently, the games do not boast specific date for a global launch. The most recent PUBG Lite news indicates that the global launch could happen before the end of 2019.

PUBG Mobile Lite
Built with Unreal Engine 4, PUBG Mobile Lite is a toned-down version of the original and is geared towards budget and mid-range phones. Instead of 100 players landing on a huge map, only 40 players will land on a 2 km X 2 km map, allowing for faster-paced gameplay. Moreover, despite being the ‘Lite’ version, the game still comes equipped with immersive sound and video along with realistic weapons for a first-class Battle Royale experience.
PUBG PC Lite
PUBG PC Lite is similar to the mobile version of the game, with it targeted to function on budget PCs that offer limited graphics and processing power. Unlike the mobile version of the game, players can experience Battle Royale action in regular PUBG maps.
Currently, the game is in beta, and only Erangel is available for the player-base. There is no fixed timeline on the possible launch of other maps, but it is plausible that the other maps would be made available alongside the global launch.
